Design & Display: Gorgeous but Massive
The iPhone 16 Pro Max comes with a 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR display, making it the biggest iPhone ever. The 120Hz refresh rate keeps everything buttery smooth, whether you’re scrolling through social media or playing high-frame-rate games. Apple also made the screen brighter than ever, making it easy to use even under direct sunlight.
But here’s the thing—this phone is huge. If you have small hands or prefer one-handed use, you’ll struggle. It’s also heavier than last year’s model, thanks to its titanium frame and larger battery. If you’re coming from an iPhone 14 or older, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is absolutely worth it the camera, battery, and AI-powered performance are a huge leap forward. If you already own the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the upgrades are nice but not game-changing unless you really want the bigger battery and improved AI features.
It’s the ultimate iPhone, but its size and weight won’t be for everyone. If you’re on the fence, the iPhone 16 Pro (non-Max) gives you nearly the same features in a more manageable size.
